We have extensive knowledge in the security and sound industries, which we use to help you overcome any obstacle facing your home or business issues. Our staff is highly trained and ready to assist with the demands of today’s audio/visual and security system needs.

Mountain Home was started in 2007 by Steve and Anja Potter. We saw a need for homeowners to monitor their homes and protect them from burglars, fire, carbon monoxide, low temperatures and water flow detection. Steve had 31 years of experience in the security business and a desire to help protect the dreams, investments, and families of his customers from a possible loss. He enjoys working with customers from diverse backgrounds and life stories.

As of 2024, Airen Renner has taken over ownership of Mountain Home Security, the company he managed for the previous 13 years. Having built long-standing relationships with our clients, he leads a team that offers personalized home automation and security services with a focus on trust, consistency, and genuine local care. Born and raised in Pagosa Springs, Airen is proud to serve the community he and his family call home, keeping local households safe, comfortable, and seamlessly connected.
